About Me
About Erika Gobbi Janvier
Background & Training
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a bachelor’s degree from Florida International University and a master’s degree from Saint Leo University. My journey in mental health began by working with children on the autism spectrum, phobias, and anxiety. Over time, my work expanded to include teenagers navigating school pressures, bullying, self-harm, and low self-worth. I also support families and parents, helping them understand and manage these challenges with compassion and practical tools.
Today, I work with young adults who are exploring life transitions — moving from school to college, starting careers, or simply feeling stuck and trying to find their way. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals while developing tools to thrive.
I’m LGBTQIA+ friendly and welcome people of all cultural backgrounds, identities, and experiences. My own background as an immigrant from a Hispanic and Italian household gives me a broad cultural perspective and a deep respect for different ways of seeing the world.
In my work, I combine evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness with a collaborative and creative style. Therapy with me is never “one size fits all” — it’s about finding what works for you and making the process approachable, supportive, and even empowering.
